Jessica DeCesare (Vice President of Operations) has spent the last eighteen years providing valuable, consultative practice management solutions across a broad range of unique veterinary practices within the US. Jessica began her career in the veterinary field as Hospital Administrator in 2000 at Airpark Animal Hospital. In this role, she implemented a strategic plan focusing on human resources, program implementation and creative marketing tactics. She managed and directed all business interactions and acted as a liaison between her veterinarian team and outside vendors and professional advisors. While there Jessica’s efforts helped the grow from $2.5M to $5M over 7 years. In 2007 when Novartis Animal Health, US began it’s Key Account Program, Jessica shared her experiences while helping to shape this important initiative and ultimately became acting National Key Account Coordinator. In this capacity she offered insights to more than 40 Veterinary practices on a consistent basis and assisted in planning, training, implementation, and tracking of annual results. As a practice consultant and mentor to her Key Account Manager team Jessica’s efforts resulted in 12-15% sales growth annually across practices she worked with.
After leaving Novartis she became a partner and Hospital Administrator of Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital. There Jessica implemented a structured and sound human resource program, created and launched specific targeted marketing initiatives, and expanded the hospital to a 24 Hour Emergency Hospital resulting in significant net sales growth of 10% per year for 3 years.
In January 2016 Jessica joined VetEvolve. LLC as Director of Operations. In this role Jessica works intimately with practice teams to help them achieve their maximum potential . Her mentorship
facilitates both improvements and growth by offering creative ways to elevate patient care, client service and business efficiencies. She is able to take a complex initiative and break it into manageable steps. Jessica prides herself on customizing solutions because her experience has taught her that no 2 practices are the same.

Jessica is a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager, member of the Veterinary Hospital Manager Association, International Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society as well as the Society of Human Resource Management. She is a shareholder and Board Member of Central Carroll Animal Emergency in Westminster, Maryland. In her free time, Jessica cherishes family time with her husband, Michael, and their children Olivia, Marc and Gabrielle. Dogs, Dewey and Lucy, and cat, Arista, make up her four-legged family members. She enjoys hiking trails, traveling to near and distant lands, & eating delicious and exotic food.
Dan Melody joined the VetEvolve leadership team in May of 2019 as Director of Operations. Dan brings to us more than 30 years of experience within the veterinary industry. He started his career as a kennel attendant in a local practice in Chicago, IL at the age of 15. He then went on to work as a veterinary technician for several years, working in general practice, as well as avian and emergency medicine. During his college years, Dan shifted his focus to practice management, and worked as a Practice Manager for several small animal hospitals in the Chicago area. Dan then spent eight years with a very young company that would grow to become Banfield Pet Hospitals. It was during these years that his interest in the training and development of team members grew into a passion. In 2005, Dan moved to Boston, MA to begin his career with VetCor. In his most recent position as Vice President of Operations, Dan provided hands-on, day to day leadership to more than 40 practice locations located throughout the East Coast. His commitment to respecting and elevating the doctor teams at these practices led to years of practice clinical and financial success.
Dan enjoys spending time with his family and friends at Nantasket Beach in MA, where he currently lives. His dog, Bella, is also his constant companion while he enjoys his other interests, such as gardening and hiking.
